Brick Club: building friendships, one brick at a time

Brick Club is a fun, evidence-based group therapy program that uses collaborative LEGO® building to develop real-world social communication skills.

The approach was created by Dr Daniel LeGoff, and our groups are facilitated by Tatiana Sansaloni, a Certified Brick-by-Brick® therapist.

How Brick Club works

Children build together as a team, taking turns in three roles so everyone gets to lead, help and create.

  1. 1Engineer — Reads the instructions and directs the group.
  2. 2Supplier — Finds and sorts the right LEGO pieces.
  3. 3Builder — Puts the model together, following the directions.

  • Giving and following instructions
  • Joint attention and shared focus
  • Confidence in group settings
  • Friendships with peers
